The Volume-at-Price Method · by Aaron Uitenbroek

His market analysis landed on 20,000 Wall Street desks every morning. He'll teach you to do it yourself.

A self-paced course in reading any market using volume-at-price — the objective, math-honest methodology behind analysis that reached as many as 20,000 financial professionals daily at the world's largest institutions.

The Problem

You don't have an indicator problem. You have an information problem.

You've probably done what Aaron did for seven years: Elliott Wave. Fibonacci. Gann. Bollinger Bands. MACD, RSI, and a dozen “specialized” oscillators. A walking encyclopedia of trading knowledge — and none of it worked consistently. Because every one of those tools is derived from price. They're echoes. Opinions about opinions.

Meanwhile the math quietly eats you alive:

~95%

of retail traders lose money — most before skill even enters the picture.

$17

the cost of an E-mini S&P round trip per contract, in spread and commissions — best case.

76–84%

the win rate the typical chat-room scalping plan needs just to break even. Nobody sustains that.

0

Where a trader with zero edge ends up over time. The risk-of-ruin formula says so — guaranteed.

(Don't take our word — the free chapter walks through every formula.)

The Shift

There is one kind of information the market can't fake.

Volume at price. Not volume over time — volume at each price. It's a visual record of where real money actually transacted: where buyers and sellers agreed on value, built it, defended it, and abandoned it.

Markets are auctions. They move directionally to find value and rotationally to build it. When you can see where value was built — the High-Volume Areas — you know, objectively, where the market is likely to respond. Not because of a magic line. Because that's where the auction's participants live.

This isn't new or secret. It descends from 30+ years of auction-market research used on institutional desks. It's just been buried under an industry that makes more money selling you indicators.

“No one can predict the future — including me. The edge isn't prediction. It's knowing exactly where your assumption is right, where it's wrong, and what to do at each.”
Who Is Aaron

The guy in Iowa that Wall Street called.

Aaron Uitenbroek spent seven years as an engineer, testing and discarding every retail trading method in print. Then he found auction market theory and volume-at-price analysis — and it changed everything. He left engineering, traded commodities for an ethanol business, wrote on auction market principles for a Wiley & Sons technical analysis book, and co-founded a market research firm whose daily analysis reached, at its peak, as many as 20,000 financial professionals — advisors, hedge funds, and wealth managers at institutions you'd recognize instantly.

Senior VPs and Chief Investment Officers at “too big to fail” banks solicited his market calls. They had armies of their own analysts. They read the guy in Iowa anyway. The methodology they were reading is the one he still trades with — and teaches — today.

There is nothing about the methodology he can't teach you. No secrets, no sixth sense. That's the point of the course.

The Method

Four steps. Any market. Any timeframe.

01

Identify how the market is moving

Directional or rotational. There are only two.

02

Identify the extremes

The highs and lows that matter right now.

03

Identify the High-Volume Areas

Mark where value was built; these are your objective support and resistance.

04

Repeat across timeframes

The big picture sets your bias, the small picture locates your trade.

That's the skeleton. The course puts muscle on it: forming a bias you can defend, reading SPX/NDX/RUT together, spotting false breakouts, confirming with breadth and VIX, and a pre-market routine that reads index direction in under five minutes.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

Do I need special software?
No. TradingView's free tier includes the volume profile tools you need. ThinkOrSwim and eSignal setups are also covered.
Does this work for stocks/options/forex?
Yes — anywhere volume data exists. The worked examples use index futures and ETFs; the method is market-agnostic. (Forex uses tick-volume proxies; covered in the course.)
Is this day trading?
It's both. The core method works on daily and weekly charts (swing/position); Module 6 is specifically for intraday.
How is this different from Market Profile / TPO?
Same family tree, simpler toolset: pure volume-at-price, no letters, no exotic charts — and a complete process around it, not just a chart type.
Will you tell me what to trade?
No. This is education, not advice or signals. That's a feature.
How long until I'm competent?
Most students complete the modules in 3–6 weeks. Reading skill compounds with daily 10-minute chart reps — expect real fluency in a couple of months.
Some videos show older charts — is it outdated?
Some worked examples use historical data (labeled as such). Auction behavior hasn't changed; that's rather the point of a structural method.
Refunds?
14 days, unconditional, on the course. PRO is refundable until your first live call. See our full Refund Policy.

The market is telling you where it's going. Learn to read it.

You can keep buying indicators that repackage price, or you can learn to read the auction itself — the same way the professionals who read Aaron's work every morning do.
